Legion Of Caliban

Just wanted to say, I had put out that poll a while a ago to see if there were any things that the denizens of the net wanted to see more of, and I only got one vote. However that vote was for more painting and... Boom i just put up numerous shots of the armies of the Dark Angels. So whoever you are out there, I appreciate your voting. And thanks to all you guys you stop by to check out the site. I wasn't sure how it would go once I started, I think its building up quite nicely.

Game 3 After tough matchups versus too opponents that were able to out manuver me in objective games, it was time to purge some tratiors. The legion of the Iron Warriors stood before me and it was time to really bring the heat. This game was kill points and I have been succesful against this army in the past, only time would tell if that trend would hold. Deployment - I castled up the deathwing as usual and my opponent planted his troops on a hill with a great LOS to all over the board. His entire deployment was castled and behind an aegis, which to mean screams out come get me... if you can. For this game i decided to say screw it to my typical divination roll and instead I rolled on telepathy and took psychic screech. I also decided that given his extremely defensive set up I needed to pry him out of his rusted chaos rabbit hole. To accomplish this Belial would again be droping with a squad and trying to prise open some of that armor. Chaos took the first turn.

Now that we all understand that lets learn how to kill these blue xenos..."

Relic Game 2 Onward to game 2. Having lost to the Dark Eldar in round 1 there was nothing to do but try to overcome my next opponent. This was an army similar to one that I had faced in the Balance of power batrep, this time the only objective was a central statue which you could score if your troops were within 6" of the statue. what was unclear is if this meant that denial forces could be used to stop scoring. On a personal note this guy was going to re-write his list after disovering that he he only brought two flying stands, so i leant him one, then he plays me... karma can be a b. Ultramarine LRC speeds its payload torward the Relic.

Here is the current jewel of the 4th Company, Piloted by Manius "Clawmark" Glabrio. This Storm Eagle was present at the Final defense of Ithacus , participating in that campaign and serving with distinction. It was also employed over the skies of Mylos gaining air superiority over the the ork fighter presence there. It has also fought against the armies of the Tau and Necrons, on the planets of Kortuuz, and Axos respectively. On Kortuuz it was responsible for bringing down a riptide after punishing blasts with its lascannons. During the malacant device incident it was singlehandedly responsible for causing the flight of an undead phalanx of necrons as they advanced on the Malacant device.

The Fast Attack and the lightning attack attack force of the raven wing is rivaled only by the White Scars in their daring and destructive action. This ravenwing battle group is not yet at full strength and needs to be augmented by a few more squads, but the progress towards an apocalypse formation is unmistakeable.

The mysteries of the Dark Angels are as long and as dark as the Galaxy is black and forbidding. One of the strangest of these is the Dark Shroud which bears the Icon of Old Caliban. Its dark energies billow outward forming a tenebrous and impentetrable cloud. The Dark Shrould pictured is newly forged from an STC dataslate, but its pilot Ilio, has long been a pilot int he ravenwing serving with distinction in the Ithacus crusades and against numerous other threats to humanity. Ilio and his crew (gunner Julius, and techministrator Killian) first piloted this Dark Shroud against team of renegade guardsmen, and served with distinction against the combined forces of tyranids and orks on the Mylos System.

Chapter Master Azreal, born on a death world Kimmeria , his deeds are legend among the Sons of El' Johnson.  Though he has not often served with the 4th Company his feats speak for themselves. A master tactician and warrior, he is also the voice that guides the Dark Angels more than any other.

The Infantry and Arsenal of the the Intractable "Fighting Fourth" Company of the Dark Angels Adeptes Astartes. This section of the army has recently grown as I have aquired 2 new tactical squads, and some rhinos. There is still more work to do to make this a complete battle company but so far the efforts have been moving along nicely.

Here is a group shot of All the Deathwing I have painted as of 4/20/14. I have one unassembled group. I hope to get enough terminators to field the deathwing redemption force in an apocalypse game someday. So I will still need 3 more groups of Deathwing knights, and possibly some bits to assemble the command squad for belial... cause why not?

Game one versus Dark eldar. I had known that there would be a dark eldar army at the tournament but unfortunately I was unable to avoid it in the first round I knew that this would be a serious problem for my army, but hope springs eternal! First the table. similar to a table i had played on before, this setup means no line of site blockers. Even with all of those ruins there is no LOS blocking happening here. The objectives were all the same points value. there were 5, middle and table quarters.

Here are some of the armies that competed for the prize at Hobby Bunker. Tourney was played at 1750. Net listed 4waveserpent list. This list came to bring the pain. Deathwing Nurgle themed demons with chaos allies Eldar with 2 wave serpents IG with dual vendettas Iron warriors with Dual 'Drakes Wraithwing crons. Nurgle Marines Vanilla marines with flyers and land raider crusader. Tau with blood raven allies. pure tau Tyranids vanilla marines  Finnally there was an entry who was a bit late and showed up with vect and his dark eldar venom and ravager/raider netlist.
