battle vs Grey knights at Rivengrad

In the beleagered city of Rivengrad the Dark Angels have been tasked with the defense of the city and its manfactorum production capabilities. Meanwhile the efforts of kaldor draigo will be directed at the removal of the 1st legion.

First game on the new table with fully painted urban terrain. Pretty stoked.

DA1 hiding out of sight the grey knights look for an opening and bide their time, leaving them effectively no targets.

 GK 1 suddenly shunting wraithknights? unleash their torrents of flame on the defenders.

 terminator squad lands safely in the manufactorum.

the las cannon can only watch in horror as the wraith knights of the 666th chapter spray gouts of flame along the battle lines. while nearby bikers fire special weapons hoping to bring one down after an ineffective psychic phase.

 Plasma tacts hold position as more GK terminators drop in near the ruined shire of the the aquila.

GK 2 the terminators bring their psy-weapons to bear on the dark angels.

The paladin squad of Draigo drops in the thick of battle and psybolts fly in all directions, secure in the knowledge...

 that the wraith knights will keep ezekiel, chaplain pious and his tacticals busy.

 a few well placed shots and the landspeeder is wrecked.

 Thus the battle stands with the grey knights exerting their dominance...

 and exerting pressure all over the DA lines.

 DA 2 - taking aim the devastators are able to bring down a single wraith knight in combination with other forces.

 The dread int-Chaplain Valius drops his termies off the beacon provided by the last ravenwing biker.

Meanwhile the drop pod and Ezekiels squad continue to hold the objective.

COncentrated plasma whilttles down the terminator squad in concert with...

Librarian Aggripus and his terminators eye their quarry and prepare to fire..

Stormbolters and krak missles down a single terminator and leave the justicar and his battle brother...

At the end of DA2 the action is all taking place in my table quarter.

 GK 2 - more shooting ensues then the paladins and the wraithknight charge zeke's squad.

The assault squad know that there is little that they can do to release the pressure.

Calling out a challenge Draigo points out the dark angle chief librarian, who succombs to the titansword of Kaldor.

 meanwhile the wraithknight stoves in the helm of chaplian pious, He's gonna need some serious work from the apothecary...

terminators also try to charge the lascannon devastators, resulting in 2 dead termies and a failed charge.

DA 3 - after some shooting the dark angels charge and kill the justicar and his crony. shrugging off a thunder hammer with his invul save.

mid turn 3 the game still hangs in the balance, but the Dark angels have the edge in mobility, while the terminator armor of the grey knights is proving somewhat frail...

GK 3 - the final terminator squad lands and scans for targets.

reverse angle of turn 3

 the paladins and their leader attempt to multi charge but draigo cant physically get into base to base contact with the assault squad and declares a challenge bellowing in frustration.

the Valius and Draigo come to blows, while remaining terminators also exchange pleasantries. Valius  saves all four of the wounds from the titan sword. THe group remains locked.

The game ends in a draw. 7-7 both sides return to their battle barges to regroup and plan their next move....
